Before you can deposit fiat currencies into your Coinmetro account, your Profile Verification must be completed.
How to deposit fiat
Once your Profile Verification has been completed, you can deposit fiat currencies into your Coinmetro account! Firstly, you'll need to head over to your Coinmetro Dashboard and click on the Deposit button.
On the Coinmetro Mobile App
Coinmetro supports fiat deposits for both Bank Transfers and Credit/Debit Cards methods.
Depositing via Bank Transfer
1) Select the currency and one of the bank transfer options for that currency
If you wish to deposit via bank transfer, please ensure that you have chosen the Bank Transfer option relevant to that currency.
2) Add your bank details (EUR SEPA & GBP Faster Payments)
We need to know your details so we can match incoming funds to your account. When depositing via either the EUR SEPA or GBP Faster Payments, you will be required to enter your bank account details.
Before pressing Confirm, it's important to double-check that your bank account details have been entered correctly on the deposit screen (if applicable).
For all other bank transfer methods, we use a compulsory reference to link the funds to your account. Your transaction may not be successful and funds may be returned if the reference has not been added. Each user has their own unique compulsory reference which will include your name.
3) Pay with your banking app
Now, open your banking app/online banking account, and make your payment to Coinmetro's bank account details that have been provided to you on the deposit form (remember to include your compulsory reference if applicable!). It is important to know that Coinmetro's bank details are different for each fiat currency bank transfer method, so make sure you check this carefully before sending your funds.
Every time you make a deposit, it’s important to double-check Coinmetro’s provided bank information as we are adding new banking partners and details may change from time to time.
Depositing via Credit/Debit Card
1) Select the currency and the Credit Card option
If you wish to deposit via credit/debit card, please ensure that you have chosen the Credit Card option for that currency. When choosing to pay by credit card, we also require you to complete address verification as well.
2) Enter the amount you would like to deposit
Once you have entered the amount you would like to deposit, click Next and you will be redirected to our payment processor. Our required minimum deposit amount is €10 and the maximum amount is €5,000. We can accept Visa or MasterCard; however, please note that pre-paid or virtual cards are not accepted.
3) Verify and Confirm your transaction
For additional security purposes, you may be required to enter a One-Time Password (OTP) provided by your bank to verify your transaction.
